CME Group plans to launch all-weather crypto derivatives trading in early 2026

CME Group announced that its cryptocurrency futures and options products will be traded around the clock (24 hours, 7 days a week) from early 2026, and is currently awaiting regulatory review and approval.
Since the beginning of 2026, CME Group's cryptocurrency futures and options will be traded continuously on the CME Globex platform, with system maintenance only for at least two hours per week on weekends.
In addition, all holiday or weekend transactions from Friday night to Sunday night will be counted as trading days for the next working day, and their clearing, settlement and regulatory reports will also be processed on the next working day.
